Hall – Terrance Alvin Hall, a.k.a. Terry, Squeak, Terrbag, Grumpa, Hallsy, Papa The Desert Rat; of Brooks Alberta, passed away Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at Brooks Health Centre surrounded by his family at the age of 73 years.  Terry was born on March 13th, 1945, in Empress, Alberta to Edward and Pearl Hall (Purper).  After attending High School in Acadia Valley, he graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology where he received his Journeyman Electrician’s Certificate.  He married his high school sweetheart Vicki Chudleigh on October 15th, 1966.  Terry worked for many years as an electrician and later as a corrosion technician for NOVA.  In his youth in Acadia Valley, Terry enjoyed playing baseball and raising hell.  He was an avid golfer, curler, and an active member of the Brooks Kinsman and K-40 Clubs. He was also one of the founding members of the Ingram Park Social Club, where he and Vicki made a number of lifelong friends.  Terry was the life of any party and will be remembered by his wide circle of friends and family for his mischievous smile, his “eye rolling” sense of humor and his love of a good story.  His legacy is that he was someone that everyone liked to be around.  He had a staunch work ethic, a quiet but steadfast loyalty to his family and friends and was always willing to go that extra mile to ensure that those he loved were taken care of.  In his later years, you could often find him glued to the television, watching the Calgary Flames or Toronto Blue Jays, with a beer in his hand and a bowl of BBQ peanuts by his side.  In his retirement, he enjoyed winters in Arizona with his wife, his brother, his sister-in-law, and other like-minded snowbirds.  He also was able to spend quality time with his children and grandchildren.  Terry is survived by his wife Vicki Hall; his daughter Kari Brandt and her husband Scott of Brooks and his son Craig Hall and his wife Anna Cummer of Calgary, AB.; five grandchildren, Jenna Feser (Landon), Nicole Brandt and Mark Brandt, Olive Hall and Aubrey Hall; his brother Denny Hall (Johnette), and his large extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Pearl.  A Celebration of His Life will be announced at a later date.  Memorial tributes may be made to the Prairie Rose Hospice Palliative Care Society, 24 Coultis Court, Brooks, Alberta   T1R 0J8 (http://prairierosehospice.ca).
