    GRATRIX – Jenny Bridget Gratrix (Belchamber) – Passed away April 4, 2018. Born in Ranikhet, United Province, India on November 7, 1921. Jenny was raised in England, arrived in Canada as a war bride, and has resided in Brooks, Alberta since 1946. She is survived by two sons: Gary (Edith) of New Westminster, BC and Stephen of Brooks, Alberta; grandson Adam of Surrey, BC; granddaughters Kimberley (Mike) Desnoyer of Okotoks, Alberta and Jessica (Nick) Norbury of Mission, BC; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Kiara, Aydan, Trentyn, Teague, and Cohen; sister June (Arthur) Langstone, brothers James and Peter all living in England; daughter in laws Shirley and Rosalie. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great (great) nieces, nephews and cousins living in England, Ireland and Canada also survive. Jenny was predeceased by her husband Fred in 2005, son Gil in 2007, and brother Fred in 2016, may they rest in peace. Jenny was involved with many community service organizations. She is a life member and served as District Deputy and Noble Grand for the Rebekah Assembly of Alberta; life member and twice Honoured Royal Lady of the Royal Purple Lodge No. 104 in Brooks; life member and twice President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion EID Branch No. 63; and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion EID Branch No. 63. Jenny was one of the earlier members of the Alberta War Brides Association, she also belonged to several other organizations. Jenny retired from Sears Canada in Brooks after 30 years where she was manager. Jenny will be interred with Fred at 1:30 pm on May 12, 2018 at the Brooks Cemetery Rev. Ken Wells officiating.
