    DOLTER – Lawrence Andrew Dolter husband of Dianne Dolter passed away September 29, 2018 in Abbotsford B.C. at the age of 95 years. Lawrence (Laurie) leaves behind three sons, David, Jim and Brenton Dolter and extended family members, Sandy Beasley, Terry Wyper and Lani Uricek Takats.
    Lawrence was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan on January 19,1923 along with younger brother Frank Francis Dolter. The depression forced his family to leave and seek employment in Burnaby, BC in 1931. Leaving high school early, Lawrence joined the RCAF in 1941 as an air frame mechanic and served his time in Vancouver and Vancouver Island at Sea Island and Patricia Bay bases until 1945. His brother Francis Dolter was shot down while piloting a Halifax Bomber for the RCAF in 1945. After the war he joined the RCMP and was stationed on Vancouver Island, North Vancouver, West Kootenays and Burnaby (1949-1967). After retiring, Lawrence bought a farm in Tilley, AB and lived there until 1994. Lawrence remarried in 1985 after the passing of his second wife Stella to surviving wife Dianne Barradell of Surrey, BC for 23 years, they moved to Armstrong, B.C. in 1994 and then relocated to Abbotsford, B.C. in 2008.
    Funeral service for Lawrence Andrew Dolter will be held October 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Fraser Valley Funeral Home, Abbotsford, B.C.  41p
