Dillman – Melanie Lynn Dillman of Brooks, beloved wife of Deryk Dillman, passed away on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at the age of 54 years at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. She was born July 26th, 1964 in Medicine Hat, and was raised in Brooks, Alberta. Melanie Graduated with honours at Medicine Hat College and made a career for herself as a secretary at Grasslands Public School Board for over twenty years. Melanie and her husband Deryk Dillman were married on June 25th, 1983 at the Brooks United Church. In 1997 they had twins named Davis and Jessica. Melanie was very artistically inclined and loved to express her talent and creativity in many ways. Melanie will be forever missed and best remembered for her open and strong willed mind, and her kind and loving nature. She is survived by her husband Deryk Dillman and their two children, Davis and Jessica both of Brooks; her mother and father Dianne and Wayne Mackinnon of Brooks; three siblings, Shawn Schuh and his wife Sherrie of Brooks and their three children, Doria, Breanne and Riley; Greg Schuh and his fiancé Holly Robinson of Brooks and his daughter Samantha Schuh; sister, Dawn Mackinnon of Brooks. In memory of Melanie, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, South Eastern Alberta Chapter, #101, 1201 Kingsway Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 2Y2. Funeral service will be announced at a later date.
