Clark – William “Bill” John Clark It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Bill Clark on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at the age of 71 years. He passed away peacefully at his home in Brooks, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends, as was his wish. Bill was born in Rosetown, Saskatchewan on June 21st, 1946. He met Patricia Tate of Coleville, SK. in 1971, and were married in 1973 and later divorced in 1994. Bill worked very hard in the oil patch, making it a career. Having worked in Saskatchewan and Manitoba Bill eventually settled in Brooks, Alberta in 1974. He worked for Flint for many years and in the early 80’s started up BILL CLARK OILFIELD MAINTENANCE. Bill was forced into retirement in 2004, after a work related accident that broke his hip. Bill was then able to focus his attention to his other passions. He loved fishing and was known in the Brooks community for catching a couple of trophy sized fish. Bill also loved gardening, he made it an art form, especially his tomatoes, you could tell how much love and time he put into his gardens. Bill didn’t stop there, he canned a lot of his home grown produce and shared every bit of it. He was a simple man and didn’t care much for people to make a big fuss over him. It was his wish to not have a funeral service. Bill was cremated and will return home where he was raised, in Zealandia, SK. Bill was predeceased by his dad Jack in September 2015. He is survived by his loving mom Jean; daughter Tish (Chris) Clark and their 1 son and 2 daughters; son Wade (Nicole) Clark and their 3 daughters. Bill will also be sadly missed by his sister Sandra and brothers Danny and David and many nieces and nephews. In memory of Bill, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer, #200, 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, Alberta   T2E 9Z9.
