CHOPIK – Lillian Koza (Chopik)

CHOPIK – Lillian Koza (Chopik), daughter of John and Anna Koza, niece of Martin Koza, sister/ sister-in-law to George and Janice Koza, spent the first 20 years of her life in Tilley Alberta. Lilian passed away in Nanaimo BC, on July 2 with her daughters Kathy and Karyn by her side. She is also survived by daughter Nancy (Bennet) and grand daughter Jennifer and is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Stan.
Lillian left Tilley and moved to Calgary to go to nursing school, where she met and married Stan Chopik. They lived in Calgary, raised a family in Swift Current, Saskatchewan and retired to Nanaimo BC. The visits and holidays to the Koza farm were a highlight of every year, for Lil’s new family and the extended cousins, aunts, and friends.
Lil had a lifelong love for the prairie that was her first home; it is her wish that she be laid to rest with her parents in Tilley. A family gathering will be held in the fall.
