    Andres – Joyce Gertrude Andres, beloved wife of Ed Andres of Bassano passed away in Calgary on December 24th, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Joyce was born December 15th, 1939 at Nordegg, Alberta and received her education there. She completed her post-secondary schooling at Edson and was employed with the RCMP in Red Deer. She moved to Calgary in 1970 and was employed with the University of Calgary until 1977 when the family moved to Bassano. Joyce was a secretary with Global Thermoelectric in Bassano from 1978-1995 and before retiring she worked with homecare. Joyce loved animals and always had a special place in her heart for her pets Freckles and Rosey. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed puzzle books, reading, knitting, classic TV shows and will be remembered as being a fantastic cook. Joyce enjoyed holiday time in Victoria, British Columbia, San Francisco, California, Montana and at the car show in Radium. A great highlight in Joyce’s life was travelling to Scotland in 1991 and meeting her aunt and several cousins for the first time. Recently Joyce resided at Care West – Dr. Fanning Centre in Calgary where she learned ceramics, painting, and was a champion at Wii bowling. She was predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth Walker, Auntie Batty and nephew Kip. Joyce is survived by her loving husband Ed, 2 children; son Ricky Reso of Bassano and his daughter Nicole and her son Maddox of Edmonton, daughter Chris Reso of Brooks and her 3 children; Misty Christoffersen (Troy) of Edmonton, Travis Christoffersen of Lethbridge and Jesse Arnold of Grand Prairie, brother Jim (Kathleen) Walker of Red Deer and their 6 children, cousins Joan Perry, Jean Youngstom (Dale), Ron Wood and numerous other family members. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 11th, 2014 from Victory Church in Brooks. Pastor Jordan Fuller Officiating.
