Anderson – Ronald Clifford Anderson of Brooks, beloved husband of Carol Anderson, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Ron was born to Fred and Olivia on November 20th, 1931 in Scandia, Alberta on the family farm, the third of five children. Ron will be forever loved by his wife Carol (nee Gilroy) of 56 years. He will be greatly missed by his three daughters, Karen Rath (Kelly) and sons Lucas and Eric; Charlene Anderson and her children Larissa Ongoma (Alex) and Selah and Midori, Kristin Ramer (Jeremy) and Evangeline and Ezra, Elise Bates (Caleb) and Havilah, and Charis, Micah, and Eden; Shannon Brandt and sons, Evan and Madison. Ron is also survived by his sister Virginia Hildenbrand, brother Kermith Anderson (Marie) and sister Elaine Murphy, as well as his much-loved numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his younger brother Douglass Anderson. Ron, Carol and young family moved from Scandia into Brooks in 1965. Ron, however, continued to work with his father, brother and nephews on the family farm until he retired. He enjoyed creating many beautiful pieces of art whether it be through welding, wood-working or story-telling. Ron played competitive baseball in his early years and had a love of sports, which also included: golfing, fishing and curling. He and Carol were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooks. Ron will be best remembered for his genuine friendliness and love for people; he was humble, approachable and kind. Ron’s Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooks on Friday, January 19th at 2:00 PM with Reverend John Theiss officiating. Interment will be at Scandia Cemetery. In memory of Ron, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Charity of Choice.
