    ALBERTS – Marion Alberts, passed away peacefully at the Brooks Long Term Care Facility on, Monday November 29th, 2004 at the age of 82 years. Marion was born in Riverbow, Alberta on January. 3rd, 1922. On April. 10th, 1944 she married James Alberts. Together they farmed in the One Tree district, moving to Brooks in the mid 1960’s. She spent four or five years working at the Brooks post office and many years as the secretary at the Medicine Hat Health Unit in Brooks. Marion was predeceased by her husband James, of 42 years, in the fall of 1986. She was also predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Alex Trotter; l sister Majorie Smith; brothers-in-law Jim Smith, Jim Airth, Ben and Sam Alberts; 1 sister-in-law Natalie Alberts; 1 niece Eleanor Darago and 1nephew Wayne Smith. Marion is survived by sons Don (Louise), Dick (Dixie), Ken (Pat); 1 brother Wilson (Eleanor) Trotter of Brooks; two sisters-in-law Dorthy Airth of Dewinton and Pauline Alberts of Calgary. Marion is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Jeff (Vickie) Alberts, Francis (Joe) Wipf, Tom and Scott Alberts; 4 step grandchildren, Richard, Rod, Don Wilson, Lynsey Owen & their spouses; 1 great grandson, A.J. Wipf; 5 step great granddaughter Jessica, Taylor-Ann and Mallory Owen, Sarah & Sidney Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses. Family graveside service to be held at the Brooks Cemetery on. Monday December 6th, 2004 with a memorial service to be held in the Brooks United Church at 2:00 PM. Rev. George Edmonds officiating.
