Winters – Ryan Aaron Winters of Brooks, beloved son of Isabelle Taylor and Gary Winters, passed away in Brooks on Friday, February 16th, 2018 at the age of 16 years. Ryan was born in Brooks on November 13th, 2001. He was a talented artist and loved singing and playing his ukulele. Ryan would use a sharpie to tattoo his friends, during lunch breaks at school. He will be remembered for being kind, compassionate and shy. Ryan’s friends and family will fondly remember his comedic side and the laughter and joy that he brought to their lives. He was an active member of the Leadership and Resiliency Program at the Brooks Composite High School, where he made many close friends, who will miss him dearly. Ryan is survived by his parents, mother, Isabelle Taylor and father, Gary (Bonnie) Winters; brother, Thomas; grandparents, Jane (Barry) Bramble, Mario Lacroix and Lawrence and Penny Winters; his pug Jed and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A private Celebration of Life was held on Monday, February 26th at 2:00 PM from Smith Memorial Chapel. Nicole Jennissen Emcee. In memory of Ryan, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Grasslands Public Schools Leadership Resiliency Program, c/o Kathy Irwin, 745 – 2nd Avenue East, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1L2.
